ENSEMBLE HENRIETTA
2017-present//
Ensemble Henrietta is a Kauai/New York City collaborative group. Our most recent project was the 3rd Night of Chamber Music, presented by the Kauai Concert Association on Memorial Day Weekend 2018. We performed Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin arranged for Piano Trio by Matt Van Brink, Viteslav Novak's Piano Trio quasi una ballata, Jennifer Higdon's Pale Yellow & Fiery Red, Beethoven's Ghost Trio, and Brooklyn Duo's arrangements of Bohemian Rhapsody and Creep for solo cello/piano/string quartet. The ensemble is named after the cello, Henrietta, which originated in Germany, lived in New York, and ended up on Kauai 25 years later. You can read about our story on Civil Beat, Hawaii's leading news source. The following artists are rotating players:
violinists Kaycee Parker, Kimberly McDonough, Christiana Liberis, and Marc Szammer
Violists Christiana Liberis Daniel Welch and Drew Ricciardi
Cellists Justin Kantor, Eleanor Norton, Darryl Miyasato, Josh Nakazawa
Pianists Monica Chung and Michael Hey
